Today I made Kate a wonderful lunch of peanut butter and jelly and seated her in a fun spot near Cosmo's dog dish. She sits on a Tupperware container of dog food, and her table is a foot stool (it sounds odd but it's fun for her). She starts eating and then becomes fixated with Cosmo NOT eating. She is yelling "eat Cosmo eat"; he pays no attention which just gets her going even more fervently. She even starts getting into his food trying to help him, which only gets her into trouble.
As I was listening to her yelling at Cosmo, I realized that is what we sometimes do with one another. We get so focused on what other people should be doing that we miss what we are supposed to be doing. We can even get dirty trying to show other people the way while we are missing our way.
Matthew 7:3 (NLV) - "And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?"

We have a winner... Anytime you can incorporate a pic of the Moj into your blog you will achieve greatness!
This is so true. We can often mistake being helpful with going to far into knitpicking into someone else's business (see my latest blog) This is good advice and a great scripture.
Another way of putting it...
...Sweep around your own front door before you sweep around mine.
Thank you for this reminder because we often forget, that we can really become very dirty and in trouble.
Be blessed,
Vietta
That's too funny, I can just see a little kid trying to feed a dog! Thanks for your comment on my blog the other day...I guess I should not be so anxious to get back into those jeans! lol
